When the world isn’t in the middle of a global pandemic, everyone has their travel dreams. However, a lot of places look like they have been travelled to an inch of their life. There are loads of places all over the globe that still need to be explored.
Europe
Everyone wants to tick Paris or Rome off their list but Europe is a big place that has plenty of places that are untouched by tourism. Romania is filled with old castles and rich mythology. There are plenty of small towns in Germany which are picture perfect and made even better because they aren’t tourist hotspots.
Asia
If you ask anyone to name a tourist destination in Asia, there is a good chance that they will say Bangkok. Some of the best variety of food can be found in the best thai restaurant Bangkok if you know where to look. However, if you are feeling adventurous, there are many small islands to explore, clean beaches, and local cuisines that you won’t find anywhere else.
Africa
Tourism on the continent of Africa is growing bigger every year. Safaris have always been popular, as well as big game hunting. Now people are going a different way and want to explore the untouched areas of outstanding natural beauty. Africa is definitely the place to go if you enjoy adventure and extreme activities such as rock climbing.
Australia
Australia is still a very wild place and there are countless places you can only visit if you have a helicopter. Over 40% of Australia is still untouched by humans, and some of it is completely off limits. Heritage sites can be found all over the outback and are protected areas filled with rare animals and aborignal art.
North America
North America seems like a place where it can be tough to find a place that is untouched by tourism but there are loads of little towns tucked away that would be happy to welcome some new faces. Alaska and New Mexico are two areas that are fairly untouched and can provide plenty of opportunities for exploring. But even a road trip across the country, exploring the different states, can bring a wide range of experiences.
South America
If you have watched the movie Up, you may have been curious about the exploration of South America. Do places like Paradise Falls exist? Actually, yes. There is a place called Mount Roraima that is so unique, science is still trying to work out the ecosystem that exists there. And Angel Falls is where Pixar took its inspiration for the setting. It is also a great place to travel through if you fancy heading to our next destination of choice.
Antarctica
At the extreme end of the bucket list experience is a trip to Antarctica. It takes around 48 hours for a ship to travel from Argentina to Antarctica. As a general rule, the best time to visit is in the summer when you can experience a wide variety of wildlife and around the clock sunlight. This place is an area which is practically untouched and very few people choose to travel to.
