I have been traveling a lot lately. It seems like just about every month I’m headed back to the airport or a road trip. And I’m loving it.
When you’re a jet setting momma, you need comfort and style. You may have mastered your street style, but have you mastered your airport style? In this post I am going to share with you guys some of my personal fashion tips for flying. #airportstyle
Alright, let’s break down this outfit. I am wearing Isaac Mizrahi bold red flats, they come off easily through security and give a happy pop of color in an otherwise drab airport atmosphere. Don’t be the one holding up the line at the end of security trying to lace up a boot or sneakers. Slip on and off, and slide away to your gate with ease and style. I am also wearing the blackest of black Jeggings – stretchy and comfy for curling up like an acrobat in those narrow airport seats. A B&W stripe A-symmetrical t-shirt from target that was $12 clearance. Black and white stripes are so classic and clean looking. The tan blazer is from Ann Taylor Loft (I know, super mom store. But I am a mom!) I wore a blazer here to keep warm on the plane and when I landed. If you are flying to a colder climate, wear layers. A blazer always brings up an outfit to a classier more “put together” look. The look is finished with some simple understated Gold accessories. Along with an interesting read for the plane ride. Fin!
This dark red tote is the only purse I use now. I feel like the color goes with everything. If i’m not using my backpack – i’m using this giant roomy leather bag. It can be an airline approved carry on, a diaper bag, or be that fancy hand bag during an elegant dinner date.

I always bring my laptop with me – you never know when that blog post inspiration will hit! One thing that helps me relax on a plane is music. I have the best pair of headphones! These headphones are the softest most comfy leather. Its like butter! Slide on some leather head phones & turn up your newest latest favorite. My newest favorite purchase on iTunes is Fire & Ivy. The first song on this CD “If You See Me” is sooooo good!
(this is totally not a paid or sponsored mention. I just really love this band, and you should buy their music.)
As a rule of thumb I usually wear the same shoes flying home. (packing light tip: I pack two pairs of shoes, one cute pair for the airport and one walking practical pair for wherever I’m going.)
I almost always wear my tortoise-shell glasses on a plane ride. My contacts tend to dry out in the higher elevations & dry cabin air. I also like to sleep on my plane rides, another reason to leave my contacts out.
A white soft cotton button down collared top paired with the most beautiful neutral army green skinny jeans, sealed with those bright red fun pointy flats!
Don’t forget to stretch before and after a plane ride!
There you have it, some simple fashion tips to look great while flying!

Happy Travels, love
