Ditch the gadgets
We all love our gadgets, and there’s nothing wrong with that. However, staring at a screen right before bed can be absolutely disastrous for your sleep patterns. The blue light that’s given off by screens essentially tricks your brain into thinking that it’s daytime and makes it far more difficult to doze off. The best thing to do is to set the gadgets down and read a book for twenty minutes or so before you fall asleep. That way your brain has the chance to adjust to the fact that it’s night time and you’ll find it much easier to get to sleep.
Of course, if none of these things are working and you feel as though you’re dealing with insomnia or something equally serious, it’s crucial that you speak to your doctor right away.
