My baby Walt is 9 months old now. I have stopped breastfeeding completely. He is eating and growing ALOT. I started introducing foods around 6 months and I think he’s tried almost everything. His favorite food, as of late, is Spinach and Pears. I have never bought baby food at the store for either of my kids. It’s expensive and has “mystery” ingredients. It’s just easier and more cost effective to make it yourself.
Here is a 60 sec recipe vid of Walts Favorite Food.
- Spinach is flipping amazing for your babies development. It is high in niacin and zinc, as well as protein, fiber, vitamins A, C, E and K, thiamin, vitamin B6, folate, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, copper, and manganese. It’s a SUPERFOOD.
- Pears are high in fiber and give a BIG boost to your babies immune system.
TIPS: introduce one fruit or veggie at a time. Wait a few days before introducing the next new food – just in case they are sensitive or allergic. Homemade pureed baby food wil keep fresh in the fridge for 3 days and 3 months in the freezer. So put one in the fridge and freeze the rest!
YUMMY in your little ones TUMMY
