Even before deciding to have kids my husband and I always thought we would never need a double stroller. Every time we would see couples struggling to maneuver a double stroller we would look at each other and roll our eyes… Well talk is cheap and I cannot imagine life without our double strollers. We have had multiple ones and use them almost every day. Living in walkable Miami Beach a sturdy, light and maneuverable double stroller is a must! As a bonus taking your own stroller on trips to Disney World is a life saver. It is important to mention that I will NEVER buy a side by side double stroller… it doesn’t fit anywhere. We love having a front to back double stroller and the kids do too. We can fit through any door and share the sidewalk. Here are the top three double strollers compared and reviewed.
1. This stroller made by Chicco was amazing. Starting with the handle it was sturdy and adjustable. My husband is 6’5” and he could push it with ease. The handle would quickly adjust and I could push with comfort standing at 5’6”tall. Whenever you turn this stroller it responds quickly and you don’t experience much resistance. There are two cup holders and a small storage compartment that has a clicking lid for your keys or credit card located by the handle. The storage available on this stroller is awesome! We have not driven to Publix in almost a year. Everything being within walking distance grocery transportation is important. We can fit everything we need underneath and on the large hooks we added to the handle. The back seat of this stroller is great for my 3 year old. The seat lays almost completely flat and is protected on all sides and with a cover from the sun. The front seat does not lay flat but will recline enough for my 1 year old to sleep comfortably. The front seat also has a shade to use for the sun or on a windy day. The front wheels on this stroller have small built in shock absorbers that help make the ride smooth. I do wish that this double stroller had a cup holder and a tray for the kids. You can add these attachments but overall that is my only negative for this stroller. 2. This stroller made by Baby Trend is a great option also. This stroller provides a little different functionality along with a sit and stand option built into the back seat. We chose to upgrade to this stroller for a few reasons. We liked the stand and sit feature. Now that my 3 year old is much more active she enjoys the sit and stand option. This allows her to hop on and of the stroller on long walks when there is a coconut to collect or to get a running start to the slide. When this stroller is in the regular seat mode the back seat does not lay all the way back. However, it does recline enough so that my daughter can sleep comfortably in it. The front seat reclines as equally as the Chicco stroller, so my son has not noticed a huge difference. The most positive difference in addition to the standing feature is the trays and cup holders built into this stroller. THEY ARE ABSOLUTLY AMAZING! Because this stroller has the stand and sit feature you do loose some of the storage below but that was a fair trade. Also the handle is not adjustable but it is in a comfortable position for almost any height person. Click here to see the current price on amazon. 3. The is the “City Select”. This is every moms dream stroller. It is a Cadillac! This stroller by far surpasses the previous two. The center of gravity is amazing allowing for easy turning and carrying of cargo. The seats are comfortable, the handle is positioned perfectly and it is light weight. When looking to make a purchase that can be used for the entire duration of your children young years,you need a double stroller that is worth the investment. Hi Anne! Thanks for visiting my blog. The Britax is the best one to travel with. When I had just one baby I have the britax agile and B safe – it was a car seat and stroller combo. It was the easiest to travel with (taxi’s, airports, streets of a city, on and off planes, in and out of theme parks). It’s one of the lightest but also most durable. It comes in a bunch of colors too, if you like that sorta thing. I think its the best buy!
