*I am part of the #ChristopherRobinEvent press tour. This post is a Disney partnered post. All opinions are my own.
This July, Disney & Marvel Studios invited me to Los Angeles for a press trip. The most exciting portion of this trip was being able to walk the red carpet for the Christopher Robin Premiere. (To read about all the other exciting events surrounding this trip CLICK HERE) It is always a dream come true to work with Disney and be invited by Disney to do ANYTHING…. ANYWHERE.
The Anticipation Beforehand
I still can’t believe I was invited to the Christopher Robin Premiere. I have never never worked on anything Hollywood related. This was a dream come true and honesty, a dream I didn’t know I had! I was completely overwhelmed and nervous. I had never been to Los Angeles. But I was ready for adventure this summer!
The one thing I was really nervous about was….tripping on the red carpet! All those celebrities look so relaxed walking in heels on carpet. Sometimes I can’t make it to the front door without tripping in my heels!
The big question that flashed in front of my eyes when I was first invited was….What do I wear? I tried on a few dresses and didn’t like how anything fit. So I decided to buy a cute dress online that reminded me of Winnie the Pooh and the 1940s (the time period of the movie) So I chose this dress off amazon. I had it tailored on the top and pockets added because, obviously I need a place to put my nervous hands.

Walking the infamous Red Carpet Premiere
I got a hundred DMs that said something to the effect of: “What was it like?” Ok, I’ll tell you what it was like. It was an EPIC OVERWHELMING TREAT. Posing celebrities, flashing lights, clicking cameras, and goofy bloggers mixed in!
Who did I see? Here’s just a few shots of the celebrities that I bumped into.

The premiere had some British and honey themed food. There was a Fish & Chips bar and honey pot shaped cookies. There were also a BUNCH of photo ops.

Christopher Robin Premiere
The color of the night was definitely yellow! Here are some of my fellow amazing bloggers in our yellow fabulousness.

Christopher Robin Premiere
After we got our snacks and our photos we all headed into the theater. They locked up our phones and cameras before we went into the movie because it doesn’t officially come out until Aug 3rd!
(No spoilers allowed!)
Everyone was encouraged to grab a bottled water, a bucket of popcorn and proceed to your ASSIGNED seat.
It was such a surreal experience to watch a movie with the creators and talent of the movie you’re about to watch! The energy in the room is incredible. Everyone claps for each name that pops up in the opening credits because, chances are, they are probably sitting next you! You can tell everyone is in awe of the music, the cinematography, the acting, the writing, the costumes – everything that makes a movie a movie. The audience is invested in the movie. You can tell because everyone laughs loud and cries hard at the beautiful ending of Christopher Robin.
The Movie: Christopher Robin
I don’t want to give away the whole movie but I can share a little smackerel.
Favorite scenes: Little Christopher Robin are Pooh relaxing on the bridge just before he goes off to boarding school. Later in the movie Christopher Robin is all grown up and returns to that same bridge during another transition moment in his life. It’s a beautiful forest scene that looks like a gorgeous painting.
Favorite quotes: “Doing nothing often leads to the very best something.” I think it’s very difficult these days to slow down and do nothing. I cannot remember the last time I did nothing. I need to stop working and being distracted. Pooh is my new guru.
This movie stayed true to the original values and ideas of the Winnie the Pooh. Seeing the 100 acre wood friends come to life as stuffed teddies was done in the most believable way!
The Hollywood After Party
Theres no party like a Hollywood party because a hollywood party is….in your pajamas? After the Christopher Robin Premiere, most of the bloggers (who still had an ounce of energy left) hung out by the hotel bar and laughed the night away! It made for a fun ending to the evening.
I can’t express into words what this whole Christopher Robin Premiere meant to me personally as Disney enthusiast, creative writer, photographer, & mom blogger.
