Behind my apartment building is a beautifully paved walkway directly beside the water. At night it has a special charm with its cool breezes and dim street lamps. At the end of the walkway, it dead ends into an open courtyard that is empty but well-lit & the landscaping is well manicured. It’s a space that was created just to be pretty. It’s one of my favorite hidden gems on this Island of Miami Beach. So many people get stuck in the touristy areas of South Beach but there is so much beauty off the beaten path. (And isn’t that true of many things in this life?) I am so happy in a city right now. There’s a little tiny joyful feeling I get in the back of my heart when I gaze at a city skyline – all the buildings in a row. It’s not the same as the beauty of a mountain range – but it’s close!
I’m not a settler.
I have a gypsy soul that wants to wander.
I don’t know how long SoBe will keep me. But I’ll keep her close and be thankful for my time with her.
Just as long as I’m meant to – until God leads me otherwise.
🙂 Contentment.
