Disney Junior Dance Party Review
I have always loved the Disney Junior Live show inside of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I was disappointed to learn that they would be replacing it. But then I watched the new show and I was blown away by the Disney Junior Dance Party! Disney really stepped up their game and knows how to engage these little ones under 5!
This past January 2019, I had the honor of attending an influencers media event with my children. My kids are ages 5 and 3. I had done a little research and was pumped to hear that the character “Vamperina” would be featured in the Disney Junior Dance Party. My kids LOVE the Vamperina Disney Junior TV show.
After the show I was writing down my thoughts for this post because I felt like I needed to share it with every young Disney mom! I had a ton of info from my perspective. Then I asked my daughter what she thought of the show. I put down my phone and started listening to her. She had the most interesting and innocent reactions to the Disney Junior Dance Party.
So for this post, I want us all to relive the magic of being 5 yrs old again. I am going to tell you what my daughter told me about each aspect of the Disney Junior Dance party. (with a few interjections from my quiet 3yr old Walt. I know you’re going to ask, yes, we named him after Walt Disney.)
The following post is completely dictated by my daughter. I typed while she gave her honest review of the new Disney Junior Dance Party. I hope you enjoy reading about this Disney experience through the eyes of a little kid!
Opening
Ok, so first you walk in and sit on the floor or stand in the back if you are “old”. All the kids sit on the floor in front of the stage. Fast music is playing so you can warm up your dancing moves. Then the lights flash all around you and a girl with blue hair comes out. Her name is EJ DJ and she is the music DJ. She makes the music with her giant iPad. All the kids and momma starts dancing. The DJs bestest friend comes out and he is also a DJ. His name is Fin Fiesta. (Walt age 3: Daisy has a friend Flynn in her Sunday School Class!)
The two DJs teach everybody dance moves (the DJ shuffle). I think the DJs are married maybe because they love each other.
Vamperina
Vamperina flies behind the DJs but they don’t know it’s Vamperina. They think she’s a bat! Then she magically turns into a vampire girl so she can dance at the dance party. The real Vamperina comes out of smoke on the stage. Vamperina teaches us a dance move and everyone has to dance. Vamperina knows how to do a spooky monster walk dance! I can do it too! When Vamperina left the stage all the bubbles went everywhere and onto our heads!
Doc McStuffins
Doc McStuffins also jumped out on the stage from smoke! Doc was dancing cha cha and Chilly didn’t want to. Chilly is made of snow and he was not happy with the warmness in the room. I was hot too, I took off my sweater when we were walking to the building! Chilly is a snowman. Chilly needed a check up and Doc McStuffins said he needs more cold. The DJs made it snow from the sky but inside! It was snowing all over everything and all the kids. Chilly sang the “I feel better song” and Doc Mcstuffins had to go.
Timon
Timon is the pig’s (warthog’s) best friend in Lion Guard or Lion King. I liked his songs the best. Timon knows all the lion dance moves and says “Zuka Zuma” when he sings. And at the end the DJ screamed “For the pride lands!”. I liked that part! Then the leaves from the Lion Guard fall from the ceiling!

Mickey & the Roadster Racers
Mickey Mouse gets out of his racer and dances on the stage. All the kids dance and we dance however we want like free moves. I remember all the lights are different colors and flashing like “pew pew pew”. Everyone, all the people, like Vamperina and the DJ and Mickey are friends. So we should be friends and kind and dance with each other.
Finale
All the kids stand up and dance (freestyle) with Mickey and the EJ DJ and with Fin Fiesta. When the song is finished, long white confetti (streamers) shoot out all over the place. The music is over and the lights come on and then we have to walk outside. Oh yeah and you can meet all the people (characters) outside of the dance party and like take pictures with them. The dance party was like a real dance party and I want to go back and do it again. (Walt age 3: Yeah yeah yeah, I want go dance with Kion.)
I want to go back there, especially for my birthday because Disney is the most magical place of all. Every day is the best day for Disney. Love, Daisy.

Hi! My name is Matt. I work very closely with Fin Fiesta and I happened to be at the show you attended. First of all THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing this wonderful story! We rarely get feedback, but it’s stories like this that make our jobs so fulfilling and rewarding. What a perfect idea to share the experience from a kids point of view. It was so genuine, truthful, hilarious and heart warming. You really have some special little ones. This absolutely made my day and validated all the hard work we put into this show. I’ll try to share this post with the rest of the team. From one story teller and magic maker to another, my deepest and most sincere THANK YOU.
Thank you for stopping by, Matt! I really really appreciate this feedback. I’m so happy it got back to you. I’d love you to share it with the rest of the cast! I’ll tell Daisy that Fin knows about her blog post. She will flip out!
The woman who played EJ DJ was incredible, BTW. My friend Kayla from http://www.thismessyseason.com and I kept commenting on how powerful her voice is! She is talented!
I am so grateful for more attractions that engage the little little kids under 5. I hope to meet you one day Matt!
Oh this post is seriously the sweetest! I love that you shared your little ones reaction. Who best to tell us how awesome their Disney Junior Dance Party was than the little lady who got to enjoy all the goodness. Sounds like an awesome day 🙂
Reliving Disney throughout he eyes of the child is a beautiful experience. I’m so glad I could share it with you Sara!
I loved reading these from her perspective, I think my favorite was when she said the “old” people had to stand in the back. That had me in stitches since our husbands went back there hahhaa.
lol! At Least Daisy is honest! I totally follow her train of thought though!

Hello. I have checked your megforit.com and i see you’ve got
some duplicate content so probably it is the reason that you don’t rank hi in google.
But you can fix this issue fast. There is a tool that generates content like human, just search in google: miftolo’s tools
Hi! Are the characters available to meet out in the open or do you have to see the show to meet them in this area? We don’t typically let our toddlers watch the Vampire show because they’re super sensitive to creepy. We LOVE the other characters though. I’m wondering if we could still meet them without attending the party. (The Hollywood & Vine Breakfast is not an option for us.) Thanks!
YES, you definitely can meet the characters before and after the show – outside in the courtyard.
