As I get settled in my new place – it makes me think about what is important to me. What do I love or like? In what kind of environment do I want to lay my head down every night? What would I love to wake up to? I am thankful and grateful for my new little place in south beach.
It’s quite an adjustment to go from a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house with a garage and a yard – to an apartment. It was cleansing to purge most of my belongings. You learn what you need and don’t need to live a comfortable life. Honestly the more things I had the more uncomfortable I was! Now I see that a small minimalist but updated kitchen is more important to me than having every new appliance.
A fantastic view is more important to me than having a huge backyard with a play set and more stuff!
Having a 4 parks within walking distance (for sunset sushi picnics) is more important to me than filling my space full of new toys for my Daisy & Walt and having a big tv to watch ” my shows”.
I pray that my children put less value on material things and more value on the experience of life that God has for them. It’s amazing what just a year will do to your perspective. Everything is so different. I am happy to be here…. Not back there.
Peace & Love
