We are almost in mid October already, the year is just flying by! Before we know it, the election will be over and the holidays will be upon us. Monday was the first day here on south beach where is started to feel a little cooler. There was less humidity and a bit more breeze. It was glorious! I makes me feel like Christmas is almost here. I always notice that after the holidays there are all these diets and fitness plans that come out advertising things like “get back into shape after the holidays” or ” work off those extra holidays pounds”. But what if you started working out and training your body BEFORE the holidays. Get ahead of the game, guys! So today is my workout Wednesday. I will share with you my short Morning workout. You can do this workout at home in just a few minutes before work or before the kids wake up. So here it is, pretty simple.
Start off with a few stretches, quick and strong to get your blood flowing. (I’ll post a video next workout Wednesday)
- Stretch. Take some deep stretches to the side, circle your head to stretch your neck. Sit and touch your toes. Just warm up your body for 2 minutes.
- Push-ups. Do 10 push ups. Keep your hips in line. Go all the way to the ground and back up.
- Plank for 30 sec – 1 min
- Squats. Do 50 squats, keeping your knees from extending past your toes.
- Sit up crunches. 50 sit ups/crunches. Try not to stop in between, just power through.
And thats it! Your quick “Wake me up, Morning Workout” You’ll be surprised how much more energy you feel when you wake up and do a little exercise. Be kind to your body and keep it strong. I’ll see you next Workout Wednesday!
