If there’s one thing that can get most of us excited, it’s Disney World! But there’s probably one question on your mind when you think about going to “the happiest place on Earth”. How much does it cost to go to Disney World? Here are some things you should know!
When starting to plan the perfect Disney day, the first part to start with is budget. Disney tickets fluctuate depending on day of the week and the season, so try to plan to make sure you are getting the best deal possible.
You also want to make sure you plan for dining and other items that may pop up. Here are a few items you’ll spend money on when traveling to Disney and some things you may want to think about when budgeting your day!
Disney Theme Park Tickets
A Standard Theme Park Ticket starts at $109 and can go up to $159 per day. I have added the Park Hopper option, which will allow you to travel to more than one park in a day. You may want to only add this option if you know you will be spending a full day at the parks, open to close, to get your money’s worth. Adding on the Park Hopper option is $65 added to the base ticket price of the day you pick. So, when you go to Disney, you can spend $109 on the low end with no Park Hopper added, or the most is $224 per ticket with the Park Hopper.
Currently, Walt Disney World Theme Parks do require park reservations. So, after buying your tickets for the day you want to go, you must go into the Walt Disney website and make a reservation for that day. If you are choosing to add Park Hopper, make a reservation to the park you are going to travel to first, then after 2:00 p.m. you can travel to the other parks until close.
Parking Fees
A factor I always add into my Disney day is parking. Standard Parking at Disney Theme Parks is $25 per day, and Preferred parking is $45 per day. When paying for one park, the parking pass will transfer from park to park, so you are not paying multiple times per day for parking.
Disney Dining
Now, we should talk about how much we spend while dining at Disney. How much we spend actually depends on how we decide to dine.
If you choose quick service restaurants and refilling popcorn buckets, you can usually make it out of Disney without spending and arm and a leg. Disney quick service meals are usually less than $15 per meal. Kids’ meals are typically very cheap. They are usually less than $7 a meal and come with two snacks and a drink.
If you choose to go all out and have a fine dining experience while out on your Disney day, the price of the day can go up tremendously. Restaurants like Be Our Guest Restaurant and Cinderella’s Royal Table are over $60 per person.
Extras
Don’t forget to bring some extra cash for souvenirs! Whether it’s a cute shirt you just must have or a great Christmas present for someone you pick up on the way out, bring a little extra you can spend without feeling guilty about it.
The price of a Disney day can fluctuate greatly. There are so many factors that go into Disney prices, so make a budget ahead of time and see what works for you.
Always choose to search around for the best prices and times to go. You may check out Orlando Vacation for great deals on Orlando hotels, vacation home rentals and theme park tickets. They have Disney vacation packages that will help make the process of planning easier.
