Packing light is convenient for any trip, especially if you’re trying to only take carry-on luggage. Lighter cases are easier to deal with, but how can you pack light?

What To Pack
Whatever the weather at your destination, pack flip-flops. You can wear them as shower shoes, as slippers in your hotel room, around the pool, or to throw on to walk around the hotel.
Always fly with moisturizer. When you fly, cabin pressure dries out your skin. A change in climate can impact your skin too. Moisturizing is the best way to look after your skin. Slather it on before you fly.
Pack some essentials. Smart essentials to have are an umbrella, sunglasses, a black dress, a swimsuit, and sunscreen. If you can, get these in your carry-on. If your luggage gets lost, you can still hit the beach, go to dinner, get around in the rain, and avoid getting sunburnt while you wait for your case to arrive. Light cover-ups are a good idea. You can get beautiful inspiration for these from persian clothing.
If you’re taking electronics with you, like a mobile phone, a laptop, or a camera, keep your cables organized with cable ties. Coil them up and secure them with a brightly colored tie so you can easily find the right one in your bag, and avoid tangling.
How To Pack
Depending on the size of your suitcase, and whether you’ll be checking in or not, getting everything you need to fit isn’t always easy.
Use a flight attendant packing trick to get everything to fit and keep everything safe. Shoes always go at the bottom of the case. This keeps the weight at the bottom and any dirty soles away from your clothes. Next, assemble complete outfits by day. Roll each outfit up together and put these in. Rolling rather than folding is a classic flight attendant’s secret, to stop clothes from getting wrinkled and to save space. Finally, put your toiletries bag into the corner.
If you’re trying to take less, it can work well to pack clothes that are in a similar color palette, so you can pack fewer pairs of shoes and other accessories. Everything will already go together, so you can pack less and still have plenty of outfit choices.
Shoe bags can be useful, to keep your clothes clean and safe from your shoes if they’re dirty. You could save the packaging your shoes came in, or just use plastic bags.
If you know you’re guilty of overpacking, don’t try to pack an outfit for every day. Instead, try to wear the same clothes a few times. Obviously, pack enough socks and underwear for every day, but keep your other clothes more simple so they can be remixed into other outfits.
Choose simple outfits that you can easily layer differently. Wear the heaviest items on your light, so you don’t have bulky items taking up room in your case. Wear layers, and wrap a sweater around your waist so you don’t have to pack it.
