There are those that you know who will have been gymnasts or dancers, and they’ll be so flexible it’ll astound you because you know you’ve got the mobility of an ironing board. You might even be one of those people who are flexible, and you’re just looking for ways that you can keep on top of it as you get older. The older we get, the easier it is for our bodies to feel the pressure of life and the pressure of age. We naturally become less flexible and less mobile, even in years as early as the 30s. You won’t realize how important it is to the life you want to live until it starts to drop! A Great Morning Routine
A morning routine can change your whole outlook on the day. Rather than just rolling out of bed and throwing some makeup on, you should be taking the time to get ready and give your body what it needs. To improve mobility you should also be thinking about the rest that you give your body and the food you’re eating. As part of your morning routine you could also practice a short mobility routine. This could comprise of many different stretches from top to toe of the body. As long as you’re holding each stretch for about 20 seconds you should be giving the muscles and the joints in your body time to open up. We can guarantee that if you have a morning routine that entails a good stretch and good food, you’ll feel so much better about you day, and you definitely won’t feel as rushed.
Pick Up A New Hobby
Now you might want to think about picking up a new hobby, and there are a few that would help to improve your flexibility and mobility. Gymnastics and dancing are two that we have already mentioned, however, yoga is pretty much the best option. It gives you chance to connect your body to your mind, and to stretch out all the areas. Once you start getting into yoga you start to learn all of the principles that come with it, such as the meaning of namaste and the correct positioning for all of the poses. There are plenty of great tutorials on Youtube that you can follow that will help you to get into the swing of things. Once you do it will sort of become a way of life!
Take A Minute To Stop…Or Not!
Finally, make sure you’re not the type of person to be constantly on the go. Give your body time to relax and for the muscles to relax. Or, alternatively, if you know you spend too much time sitting down, simply get up and go for walks. Keeping active is the best way to keep mobile.
