I’m a city girl but I have a huge appreciation and admiration for farmers.
Recently I drove down to Homestead, FL with the kids to a
5 acre U-pick field with a local mom group.
“Curbside Market & Milkshakes” is the place to go to pick fruits an veggies or just enjoy a fresh milkshake in the sunshine. They also have fresh baked pastries, local honey, & homemade jams & pickles. All the deliciousness is made with local ingredients.
They provide a small bucket, and you can fill it up while you pick the fruits and veggies yourself.
Have you ever tasted a warm, ripe, sweet juicy red strawberry picked right off the vine? It’s heavenly!
It is way far south (29100 Krome Ave Homestead, FL) – but so worth it!
