? Pigeon Pose in the morning light ?
There is something about doing yoga in the mornings, right when you wake up. Sometimes I wait for the kids to go to sleep and I practice at night. But it’s not the same as the “first thing in the morning” feeling. Pigeon pose is a newer pose for me. I like that there can be so much variation and styles of this pose. But as long as you have the basics down – you reap the benefits.
Basics of the pose: square the hips, left the chest, lengthen the spine, engage the core.
Benefits of the pose: a good deep hip stretch, firmer flatter tummy, chest muscles and supporting spine muscles are strengthened.
