If you have had the same mortgage for a while you could be paying more than you need to for your home. Look at the best remortgaging deals and there is a good chance you could pay a percentage or several less than you are now potentially saving you thousands of dollars over the years.
Change your fuel source
This is something you will need to investigate to work out what is cheaper for you if your home and your areas, but many people will find that they’ll save money on the cost of their utility bills if they, for example, switch from electricity to propane or from gas to solar energy, and many of these changes come with the added benefit that you will still be able to tun your home in a blackout or similar too!
Plan your meals
Food waste can be expensive, and it can be very upsetting when you think about how much food you’re throwing out when other people have too little. One thing that every minimalist should do, then, that will help to save money and prevent food waste, is to plan meals in advance, That way, you only buy exactly what you need to feed your family for a month, and nothing gets thrown out for reaching its expiry date before you get around to using it.
Do a no-spend day
Having ast least one day a week when you do not spend anything will quickly save you money and show you where you are going wrong and spending more than you maybe need to each week.
