Hello fellow Disney lovers! I have a little Disney insider tip to share with you all today. I know you will all enjoy this. I have a new secret spot to find characters! It will get you VIP access, in a quiet spot, all while sitting comfortable. Can it get any better? Ok, listen up, princes & princesses.
I know of a secret character greeting spot where you can be the first to find and greet princesses and characters. As you enter the beautiful park of Magic Kingdom and you are greeted by the soft themed music, delicious smells and immaculate decor – veer to your left. Before you even get to Main Street and one of the most beautiful photographed structures in the world (Cinderella Castle) – linger in the Town Square for a while. As you will walk in, you enter under the Railroad station and into the Victorian Style buildings of Town Square. To your right is the Town Square Theater and Tonys Town Square Restaurant. In a quick nutshell and without divulging all the hidden amazingness, The theater houses a meet and greet with Mickey Mouse, and Tonys has some of the best Italian food in Disney. To your left is the Harmony Barber Shop, City Hall and lastly, Main Street Chamber of Commerce. This building will hold all the items you shop for during your park visit and even ship them to your Disney hotel room FOR FREE. There is a painted white iron bench to the left of the Chamber building. Have a seat on this bench because the alley way beside the chamber building is where many of the characters come in and out! We sat on the bench for about 20 minutes and saw Minnie Mouse, Pluto, and Snow White. They stopped to say hi to the kids and snap a photo. I was so pleasantly surprised by this wonderful little secret spot. This area is almost always empty. Everyone is in such a hurry to head down main street that no one takes a few steps off the beaten path. The best time to do this is when the park is first open, in the first hour or two is the best time. This is when they fill the area with characters. So if you catch them as they enter the area, you won’t have to wait in line! And a big bonus about this area is that it is so quiet. It’s a nice place to sit and eat your breakfast or sip your coffee uninterrupted. Close your eyes, smell the freshly baked goods and the sound of dreams coming true to the Main Street Victorian soundtrack. Be comfortable while you get the most out of your first few minutes in the park.
(This is an older picture I had from 2011, the beautiful white iron benches were not there.
But I wanted to post this picture to show you the area and the side gate on the left hand side of the building.
This is the secret door where all the characters come in and out of as they head to their spots.)
