This post was made possible by Paramount Pictures who hosted us for a #SonicMovie media weekend.
All opinions are my own. #sponsoredbyparamount
January 2020, my family and I were invited by Paramount Pictures to Hollywood, California. I was so excited that they invited the whole family! My kids finally got to walk a red carpet movie premiere for Sonic the Hedgehog and see what mommy does for a living! We were so grateful for this weekend trip to California! (Especially because it’s currently 20 degrees in North Carolina. Eek!)
Hosted by The Hotel Roosevelt for Sonic the Hedgehog
First of all, Paramount hosted us in The Hotel Roosevelt for the Sonic the Hedgehog media weekend. This hotel has so much history! Marilyn Monroe, I Love Lucy cast, Charlie Chaplin and so many other celebrities have stayed here. If you check youtube, there are a ton of videos that are dedicated to Celebrities walking in and out of the Hotel Roosevelt.

Needless to say, I felt pretty fancy staying there. My favorite part of this hotel was: 1. The free & fresh lobby coffee in the mornings, 2. The amazing jungle-like pool area! I gotta go back someday!
Paramount Studio Lot Tour
The Paramount Lot has been around for nearly a century! Some of my favorite movies including Citizen Kane, Rear Window, Forest Gump and The Truman Show have been filmed here. Currently they are filming nearly every cool netflix and network TV show you currently watch! (This Is Us, Barry, VEEP, NCIS) It was fascinating to get an official tour and walk on some active sets!
If you are in the SoCal area and want to book a tour, please click here to check out all the different tours they have: http://www.paramountstudiotour.com/studio-tours.html
Aside from learning some super cool movie history and being able to touch real props, the paramount lot is so beautiful and gorgeous! It’s the most well kept little pocket in LA. You gotta see it to believe it. Don’t leave without stopping by the coffee / gift shop!

On the first day of our epic weekend, Paramount had organized an official press conference with the director, producer, and cast of Sonic the Hedgehog movie!
Being in the same room as Jim Carrey was electrifying! I was ready to hear all about Sonic the Hedgehog! My daughter Daisy was able to hold the mic and direct ask Jim Carrey, “Why is Dr Robotnik so angry?” His answer was profound and gave everyone chills!

My Jr reporter got real and deep with @JimCarrey about his character. #sponsoredbyparamount #sonicmovieambassador @SonicMovie#SonicMovie pic.twitter.com/U20vyYfCaE

Blue Carpet Family Day for Sonic the Hedgehog
The day of the red carpet finally came! No wait, the blue carpet! (Sonic is blue so obviously the carpet should be too!) This movie premiere carpet was very family friendly. It was more like a carnival + birthday party!
There was face painting, a ball pit, taco trucks, carnival games, pizza stands, churro stations, sonic shaped cotton candy, and so much more! My kids loved it all and had a blast!
