I’m going vegan this year and you should too!
Our diets are one of the most impactful factors in our lives. It dictates your health and creates waves in the consumer industry. I want to share with you why a plant based diet is so beneficial to yourself and the planet.
For each day that a person doesn’t eat animal products, he or she saves over 1000 gallons of water, 45lbs of grains, 20lbs of carbon dioxide and 30 feet of forest. 70% of the grain grown in the US is used to feed livestock. If all that grain didn’t go to livestock, it could feed millions and millions of people. Going vegan can help save the environment and help stop climate change.
When you give up animal products, you lower your risk of all heart disease and diabetes. The foundation for your health starts before you are 10 years old. It is important to teach little ones a proper diet. Because your health is in your own hands.
The World Health Organization has been very clear that processed meat, milk protein, and red meat are KNOWN carcinogens.
The additives in today’s farmed meats are so dangerous we don’t completely understand the effects yet. The growth stimulating hormones, the antibiotics consumed, and the stress hormones circulating the flesh of animals are what we are consuming.
Fruits and Vegetables can improve your skin health. Dairy is the worst thing for your skin. Any dermatologist will tell you the first step to reducing acne is to cut out dairy and fatty foods.
Going vegan will also save you money! When you give up buying dairy and meats – your grocery bill will go down as you buy more plant based protein. You will also spend less later in life on doctors’ visits and pharmaceutical medications.
Our health is our most valuable asset in life and that’s my number 1 reason for going Vegan in 2018.
Come do it with me! It will be so fun and you’ll feel great. I made it super easy with meal plans, recipes and a Facebook support group.
