At the cusp of spring 2019, my family and I had the honor and privilege to spend a weekend at the Horse Shoe Farm outside of Asheville, North Carolina. I was able to reconnect with my family on the stunning grounds of this 85 acre farm resort. This whole place is majestic with rolling hills and the great smoky mountains in the distance.
It’s difficult to describe an experience at the Horse Shoe Farm because it is so unique. It is a resort, but you stay in a private home that you have all to yourself. So you can call it an Airbnb style stay, but there are also staff who will set up continental breakfasts in the community “Silo”, clean your room, and make your beds. It is located on a farm where you will interact with the owners and have a family style dinner on Friday nights with everyone who is staying at the farm.
You are free to interact with the animals and fish in the ponds. You are welcome to book a 5 star treatment in the luxurious Spa or attend a yoga class in the mountain view studio. It is almost like visiting a welcoming, high-end, opulent commune. (And I mean that in the best way possible) The Horse Shoe Farm atmosphere is full of positive vibes and loving people.
About the Farm
The wonderful owners are ‘the Turchins”, a family who are originally from Miami Beach, Fl. They have built gorgeous communities all over the world. They chose this area because it is close to their hearts. They have vacationed here every year with their son. Now their son Jordan runs The Horse Shoe Farm along with his beautiful wife Rachel and little boy “Laz”.
Jordan & Rachel lived in New York and Los Angeles prior to moving to Horse Shoe Farm last year. They bring all the beautiful millennial hipster delights to this country farm. The whole resort feels revolutionary but timeless at the same time.
Within the 85 acres of The Horse Shoe Farm, there are 8 homes to stay in, a gorgeous Spa, a yoga studio sanctuary, a meditation labyrinth walking path, a lookout point at the top of a silo, a daily juice bar and community living room with a fireplace.
Accommodations
My family and I (me, my husband and two kids) stayed at the Meadow Cottage. This perfectly sized modern home has 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a living room with fireplace + TV, a full kitchen with a dining area, mudroom/laundry room, and a back porch with a grill and dining table.
Everything in the house is decorated well. They don’t skimp on beautiful decor or posh bedding! The kitchen is fully equipped. The fridge is stocked with sparkling and flat bottled water. We got a welcome basket full of sweet & salty goodies!
I do suggest that you go out to a local grocery store to prepare for lunches and dinners. There are no restaurants on site. Remember to pack Tupperware when you stay here or at any Airbnb style home, so you don’t have to throw away your leftovers on the last day. #momhack
There are a total of 8 farm houses that you can stay in at The Horse Shoe Farm. They come in all sorts of sizes that can sleep a small family of 4 or a big party of up to 14! Each cottage or manor has strong wifi as well as all the regular streaming services downloaded to the TV. Click HERE to browse the interior of the 8 lavish homes.
Luxurious Amenities
Aside from the upscale accommodations, The Horse Shoe Farm also provides some unique amenities that make this place extravagant. There are a variety of concierge services that you can arrange for when you book a stay here.
The Horse Shoe Farm can provide grocery shopping and delivery to your door. They also provide a private chef if you don’t want to cook. Daily excursions can be organized for you that include beautiful hikes and waterfall visits. You can book a variety of spa and massage services. I hear very good things about the “4 Hands Massage” where two people massage you at once!
A personal shopper can be booked for you as well as engagement & wedding photos. You can actually book your entire wedding at the Horse Shoe Farm! You may also rent a luxury car, a private jet, a helicopter tour or hot air ballon ride.
I do also want to mention that the Asheville Airport is less than 30 minutes from the Horse Shoe Farm. There is also a helipad located on the farm.
What to do on the Farm
The Horse Show Farm is located just south of the big beautiful city of Asheville. There is tons to see & do in this city. Check out my post about “What to do with Kids in Asheville”.
But I do encourage you to stay on the farm grounds and explore this quiet destination. There are 85 acres of tranquility – why leave?
The open fields are perfect for the kids to run around or organize a soccer/football game! Beside one of the lakes, there was a huge field of dandelions. My kids made so many wishes, they were covered in dandelions!
In the woods there are biking and hiking trails you may follow. There is fishing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding in the 2 ponds, an indoor game room, a kids clubhouse full of toys, farm animals to pet and watch, as well as nightly bonfires.
I did want to mention that the Horse Shoe Farm is dog friendly!

Hello,
I’m Roy, the owner of a news website.
I have over 1 000 000+ visitors from organic search and DA is higher than 65. I want to ask would you be interested in a link swap or a guest post swap between our websites? Websites are in different GA accounts, have different registrars, so it is completely safe.
I have other sites I would like to promote, and I have a bunch of websites that are similar to the site I wrote about, and in different niches.
Hope to hear from you as soon as possible!
Regards,
Roy
