Eating is something we all have to do, day in and day out, to make sure we’re in both best frame of mind and health. You need to give your brain and your body the right fuel to keep on going, and you’d find getting on with your job or cleaning the house a lot harder if you didn’t have some good food in your belly! And that’s something we don’t think about too often: if you don’t get the right nutrients in the right amounts at the right times, you’re only ever going to feel bad in your body.

Some Essential Fatty Acids
Fat isn’t all bad, and it certainly isn’t the evil-doer of the food world that it’s often made out to be. Fats help our cells to grow, keeping our organs in the freshest and best health, making our entire body work that bit better. Of course, not all fats are made equal, and you need to know the names of the healthy fats when you’re reading the back of ingredient packets, but don’t try to cut out fats entirely.
A bit of omega-3 here and there certainly isn’t going to hurt you, and you might just notice a boost in your brain power after a few days of regularly adding it to your foods. And just like sugar, if you cut fats completely out of your diet, you’re going to be finding yourself a lot more hungry and a lot less energetic!
A Few Proteins
They’re a titan in the food world, seeing as they provide you with energy and keep your body shaping and growing as you grow. If you’re someone who’s exercising to put on more muscle definition, you definitely need a high amount of protein in your body – it fixes the rips and tears you put into your arms and legs and abs when you work them out, and makes the muscle fibers repair and grow back a lot stronger than they were before.
And if you don’t have enough proteins in your diet, you can easily notice yourself losing weight you don’t want to lose, and your hair might just be thinning a lot faster than is usual in the aging process. A deficiency can be scary, and it’s something you can easily stop in its tracks before it gets started.
