First things first, this new Star Wars Land is called Galaxy’s Edge! I recently had the privilege to hear Bob Chapek (The Chairman of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts) speak about Star Wars in Disney Parks.

NEW Star Wars Hotel & Resort

This brand new star wars inspired luxury hotel will be like no other themed hotel in the world. This hotel will be so much more than a place to lay your head at night, it will be a completely immersive experience. You will be IN and PART OF the Star Wars Saga.

NEW STAR WARS LAND: GALAXY’S EDGE

Star Wars in Disney is expanding into a whole new land called Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. It’s going to be huge, around 14 acres.

The setting for Star Wars Land: Galaxy’s Edge is set on the Planet Batuu, which is a remote trading outpost. It is a safe haven for those who are fleeing the First Order. There will be two new epic ride attractions.

Smugglers Run

Do you want to fly the Millennium Falcon? This ride will put you in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon during a critical mission. Aim those blasters and prepare for hyperspace!

Rise of the Resistance

This attraction will put you inside a hangar bay that imagineers promise will be TO SCALE. There will be a battle between the First Order and the Resistance and you will be right in the middle of it.

Shopping on Batuu

Shopping will be a whole new experience. Disney had taken the inspiration from the exotic outdoor markets of Marrakech to create the Galaxy’s Edge Marketplace.
