Congratulations for starting the Whole30 diet! I am so proud that you are trying to stay compliant even when you’re eating out.

There are a ton of restaurants with menu items that are Whole30. But one of my favorites places to eat is Panera Bread. What can I eat at Panera on whole 30? I’ve got you covered, keep reading!

Let’s take a look at all the options for Whole30 at Panera! You have options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You may have to make a few substitutes, but I promise they are still SUPER delicious options.

Whole30 at Panera Breakfast | Panera Bread Whole30

Start the day right with this super scrumptious dish “Power Breakfast Egg Bowl with Steak”. This Whole30 at Panera bowl is the best! I do want to warn you – it may not be on the menu. This is kind of a ‘secret menu item at Panera bread’, but they can always make it for you. They should have the ingredients and can put it together and you will stay whole30 compliant in Panera bread.

The Power Breakfast Egg Bowl with Steak includes: steak, egg, avocado, tomato. Everything you need, nothing you don’t! I do suggest some good hot sauce and extra salt + pepper for more flavor! (But maybe that’s just me.)

The next breakfast option is also a Power Breakfast bowl, but this one is with turkey! This is the official name, so you can order it properly: Power Breakfast Egg Bowl with Turkey. This Turkey Breakfast Bowl comes with roasted turkey slices, egg whites, spinach, roasted red peppers and BASIL PESTO. The pesto is not Whole30 compliant. You must order it without the pesto to stay Whole30 at Panera on this one.

Whole30 at Panera Salads | Panera Bread Whole30

These salads and not skimpy! They are protein packed and full of flavor! The Green Goddess Cobb Salad is compliant without bacon (it has sugar).

The Classic Garden Salad is also an option for Whole30 at Panera, but it’s a very plain one. It’s just different types of lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and cucumber. The dressing has non Whole30 ingredients. You will have to order it  with oil and vinegar instead.

Panera’s Greek Salad is SO delicious but also needs a few modifications to be compliant. Ask for it without the feta cheese and replace the dressing with olive oil. Then add in some bonus protein like chicken or a hard-boiled egg!

You gotta try the Power Mediterranean Chicken Salad! This one might be my favorite! This Panera Whole30 salad has with all-natural, antibiotic-free chicken, romaine lettuce, baby spinach, ripe tomatoes, crisp apple-wood smoked bacon, chopped hard-boiled eggs, extra-virgin olive oil, and freshly squeezed lemon juice. The bacon contains sugar, so order it without or just pick it out. enjoy this one it is delicious!

Whole30 at Panera Wraps | Panera Bread Whole30

There is a fabulous lettuce wrap that can be totally Whole30 at Panera Bread! The Power Steak Lettuce Wrap comes with seared top sirloin, large pieces of lettuce (the ‘wrap’), sliced cucumbers, diced onions & tomatoes, and then it’s all topped with both lemon juice and basil pesto. Order it without the pesto for Whole30. Still yummy!

  1. This is so helpful! Thank you! I am loving Whole 30- I just did a reset for round 2 and am already feeling great again after just the first few days! I’m typically a healthy eater but Whole 30 gives you the ability to be creative and really plan!

  2. Hello, I just double checked the ingredients of Panera’s Green Goddess salad. The chicken seasoning contains sugar and the dressing has mayonnaise and milk and other non compliant ingredients. This salad is not Whole 30 compliant unless you eat it with no chicken, dressing or bacon. I wish I had checked the ingredient list more thoroughly myself before ordering it after reading your suggestions. I learned my lesson.
I wish more restaurants would offer quick compliant items that aren’t just dry produce only salads. I have only had success at Zoe’s and Chipotle.

  3. I ordered the Green goddess salad today, and it comes with pickled red onions which also have sugar in them.I would definitely know that because it was very annoying to have to pick it out and I’m sure I still ingested some sugar anyway.

  4. Edit to my previous comment:

  5. Good thing I was only day 1 on my 7th Whole 30, so I can restart tomorrow, but imagine people on day 20 reading this and eating these things based on this suggestion. There are so many non compliant ingredients. I should have known better it being my 7th Whole30, but I was working and did a quick google search. Should have gone to Chipotle haha.

  6. Just looked at the detailed ingredients, and it looks like the Green Goddess Salad has sugar in the pickled onions and possibly sugar in their chicken marinade. Ugh! So hard to eat out, but worth it!

  7. This is very misleading. They don’t *add* sugar, the chicken comes marinated with it. I would reach out to Panera to confirm all this since it’s a chain. This is extremely misleading for so many!! I appreciate what you’re trying to do but for some this could force a restart.

  8. The green goddess dressing is not compliant – it has dairy in it. Also, as other readers have noted – sugar is also in the ingredients. Please update your post.
