Summer is upon us and we are all scrambling to celebrate in the sunlight. My favorite part of celebrating is the FOOD! So let’s get creative…
I’m proud to be partnering with Kellogg’s® Eggo® Homestyle Waffles to show you a different way to look at these little delicious medallions! (which BTW now have no artificial flavors and colors from natural sources.) Everyone has popped one of these in the toaster before, right? Remember? Maybe you spread a little butter on it or a dollop of syrup and crunched away. But the Eggo Waffle is so much more than a quick spherical breakfast. Let me introduce you to the ingenious concept of the “WAFFLE BAR”. Imagine the Eggo as more than just a waffle but as a canvas medium for your culinary creativity. Think savory, sweet, tart – whatever you want – top an Eggo Homestyle Waffle with it!
If you are planning a party this summer (for kids or adults – family or friends) let me show you how fun an Eggo Waffle Bar can be!
I buy my Eggo® Waffles at Walmart because if I’m shopping for a party I always go there. I actually bought all the ingredients for these recipes at my local Walmart. Have you ever tried the Walmart Online Grocery Pick Up? You order everything online, drive to the store, and they have it bagged and ready to put it in your vehicle! How mom friendly is that? Seriously you gotta try it.

Here we go, these are the top 3 creations for my home waffle bar. Wait till you see how I mix these delicious flavors on top of an Eggo in 3 different ways.
#1 California Style Summer
Top Eggo with: Avocado slices and a fried egg! Sprinkle a pinch of salt and you’ve got a savory hearty plate. This waffle creation is my personal favorite.
- 1 Kellogg’s Eggo Homestyle Waffle
- 1/2 ripe avocado sliced
- 1 fried egg
- pinch of salt
#2 Southern Fried Sweet Favorite
Top Eggo with: Walmart ready-made fried chicken strips, Maple Grove Syrup, and chopped green onions. This sweet & salty combo will drive you and guests wild. It’s so yummy and so brunch appropriate!
- 1 Kellogg’s Eggo Homestyle Waffle
- 2 ready-made fried chicken strips
- 1 tbsp of Maple Grove Syrup
- 1tsp of chopped green onions
#3 Joyful Fruity Fusion
Top Eggo with: chobani vanilla greek yogurt, Frozen DOLE® Sliced Strawberries, and Reddi-wip®. chobani’s greek yogurt is a healthier alternative and when you top it all with Reddi-wip you really unleash the joy of this creation. This is a dainty blend of fruity yummy-ness.
- 1 Kellogg’s Eggo Homestyle Waffle
- 4-5 pics of Frozen DOLE® Sliced Strawberries
- 2 tbsp of chobani® vanilla GREEK yogurt
- a fun spritz of Reddi-wip®
Don’t forget to accompany these delicious concepts with something to drink. The perfect sip to these recipe bites would be Minute Maid® Orange Juice and Minute Maid® Apple Juice, 12 oz. Mmmmm. Minute Maid Juices are downright refreshing and made only from perfectly ripe and natural fruit.
I can go on and on with more combinations but those are my top 3! (Like what about Peter Pan® creamy peanut butter and sliced bananas atop a Kellogg’s Eggo Homestyle Waffle.) See the endless possibilities?! You can eat any of them like an open face sandwich or fold them like a taco for a grab-n-go.
I highly suggest a Waffle bar for any brunch, game day, bridal shower or baby shower!
